  • Secretary to University Council 1996-2014.
  • Rowena commenced her career at University of Ballarat in 1991, as the University Solicitor, adding the Secretary to Council role in 1996. From 2004, Rowena joined senior management at the University.
  • Rowena was appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor in 2010 and Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor in 2012. She retired from the University in 2014.
  • Rowena was Chair of the Budget Committee, OHS Management Committee, Ballarat Technology Park Committee, International and Partners Committee, Partners Audit Committee, Reclassification Appeals Committee, Commercial Committee and served on a number of University committees, including Academic Board, Senior Leadership Team.
  • Rowena was the Acting Vice-Chancellor periodically from 2012-14.
  • Former Chair (2010-2014) of Board of Directors, Ballarat Clarendon College and Board Director 1999-2014.
